CC: Computer Energetics - Documentation
Welcome to the web version of documentation for CC: Computer Energetics (a ComputerCraft / CC:Tweaked mod).
Disclaimer: This is a little hobby side project taken on by _jodi33. Please note that this information may not be fully correct at the time of writing.
This wiki covers all hardware peripherals, signal management, power routing, data hubs, and wireless communications available in the mod.
Overview
CC: Computer Energetics extends CC:Tweaked computers by introducing analog signal pins, high-voltage power feeds, modular rack components, wireless radio modems, and physical data devices like strip-chart recorders and data hubs.
Rather than relying purely on stock CC side-based peripherals, the mod allows you to address components directly via Pin interfaces, Data Fabrics, and Peripheral Handles.
Quick Navigation
Power & Signals
- Power: Manage computer supply voltage, drawn wattage, headroom, and tripped breakers.
- Pins: Read and configure physical hardware pins, sample rates, and signal types.
- Signals: Drive voltage and current sources, measure RMS, phase angles, and oscillations.
- Signal Ports: Control redstone I/O faces, set failsafe watchdogs, and query connected peripherals.
- Power Modules: Manage rack supply units, voltage limits, bus loads, and external DC power outputs.
- Rack Bus: Check supply bus status and power states across rack-mounted modules.
Network & Wireless
- Data Network: Queued messaging, state publishing, and terminal/speaker handles.
- Radio Modems: Wireless communication over channels 0–6000 using TX/RX antenna setups.
- Data Hubs: Claim and manage remote hub pins, isolated power nodes, and fabric messaging.
- Fabric: Direct computer-to-computer peer linking and network broadcasts.
Peripherals & Hardware
- Speakers: Multi-speaker audio syncing, PCM/Ogg/MP3 audio playback, and note blocks.
- Monitors: Multi-screen array terminal handles, scaling, and resolution controls.
- Data Scribers: Strip-chart recorders with analog pens, paper speeds, ink colors, and line plotting.
- Memory Modules: Permanent 1 MB shared fabric storage mounts (
/mem,/mem2). - Front Buttons: Monitor and event buttons on Electric Computers.
- Mouse Events: Mouse click, drag, scroll, and movement event structures.
Getting Started Example
To verify your computer is connected to the network and check for power, run this simple script in ComputerCraft:
-- Simple CC: Computer Energetics Power & Signal Check
if cee.hasPower() then
print("Supply Voltage: " .. cee.getPowerVoltage() .. "V")
print("Delivered Power: " .. cee.getDeliveredPower() .. "W")
else
print("Error: Computer supply gate is down (< 110V)")
end
